What’s been happening:

Penn State prepared me very well. After working for the U S Government, I began a teaching career at California State University of PA in 1966. I resigned from Cal State in 1982 and my Thai wife and I moved to Thailand where we lived for 16 years. I taught English at several universities and the Royal Thai Air Force. My life long interest in snakes led to my researching Thai snakes and the publication of two books on the subject. I returned to the United States in 1998 so that our three daughters born in Thailand could complete their education in the American system. At the time of this writing our oldest daughter has graduated from college and our two youngest will soon do so. I began teaching at Penn State Altoona shortly after returning to Altoona in 1998 and retired in 2008. My ties with Thailand remain strong. and I have returned to Bangkok each year since 2005 to create a comprehensive cataloging system for the preserved snake collection at Chulalongkorn University and continue my snake research.
